• Early: Melvin Frohike and his father are at a diner just outside of Pontiac, Michigan, when he notices Stan Mizer using a glass of water to power his 1959 Studebaker Lark. Mizer gives them a ride in his car and Frohike remembers this event very fondly. (TLG: "Like Water for Octane")
• April 4: J.T. Guthrie is assigned to Biznot Air Force Base as quartermaster for their missile command wing. While their he approves to put Mizer's water-powered car on Pallet 62/67221. (TLG: "Like Water for Octane")
• Melissa Scully is born to William and Margaret Scully. (TXF: "Apocrypha")
