Arlington is a county in Virginia, that lies in close proximity to Washington, D.C.

In 1994, FBI Agents Mulder and Scully traveled to Arlington to investigate the death of Teddy Holvey. (TXF: "The Căluşari")

Arlington National cemetary was established during the American Civil War as a final resting place for American citizens who died in honour of their country.

In 2002, A.D. Walter Skinner arranged for the Lone Gunmen to be buried there after giving their lives to stop a bio-terrorist. (TXF: "Jump the Shark")
