Lt. General Wegman
Edward Wegman (played by John Mahon) was a general in the United States Air Force who worked at Area 51. He contacted Fox Mulder and attempted to sabotage the stealth module of a UFO so that Mulder could see it and learn what was going on at Area 51. However, the UFO crashed and tore a gash in the space-time continuum, causing numerous quantum overlaps and switching personalities. Mulder switched personalities with Morris Fletcher, which led to great trouble. Wegman tried to reveal the secret of Area 51 because he felt that keeping such secrets was against his vision of how America was supposed to treat its people.
