Irving Thalbro (played by Tom Dahlgren) was a doctor and father of Nan Wieder, who was married to Dr. Robert Wieder. After Wieder won an award for the Bay Area Physician of the Year in 2000, Thalbro discovered a hexcraft sign on his bed. Shortly thereafter, Wieder discovered his father-in-law's corpse hanging from a noose and with his throat slit. The word "theef" (a misspelling of "thief") was found on the wall in Thalbro's blood. It was later found out that Thalbro was killed by Orell Peattie using a poppet. (TXF: "Theef")
