Albert Sorenson was a member of the United States Senate in the mid-1990s.

Profile[]

He was working with the Cigarette Smoking Man. In 1996, he was a member of the Senate Select Subcommittee on Intelligence and Terrorism. (TXF: "Tunguska", "Terma")

In that year, he issued a summons to Walter Skinner, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, supposedly to explain how a man fell to his death from Skinner's apartment.

He later participated in a Senate inquiry on the matter, where he continued to press questions on Mulder's whereabouts, even holding Scully in contempt for a day, but never got an answer. During the second day, Mulder entered the room. Scully submitted evidence on her claims.

After the hearing, the CSM came to Sorenson's office to review Scully's evidence, and Sorenson surrendered it to him. He allowed the CSM to throw it in the trash. (TXF: "Tunguska", "Terma")
