Smith and Wesson 5906 is a firearm that is used by FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, as well as Assistant Director Walter Skinner and other characters, in The X-Files. It is unknown if this weapon is the issued firearm for FBI Special Agents as both Mulder and Scully switch firearms throughout the series. This weapon is used by Mulder and Scully from the third season installment "D.P.O." until the fourth season opener, "Herrenvolk".
