Garry Shandling

Garry Shandling (played by himself) was an actor hired by Wayne Federman to star in The Lazarus Bowl as an FBI agent "loosely based" on Fox Mulder alongside Téa Leoni as a character based on Dana Scully. Mulder was not entirely pleased that he was to be portrayed by Shandling, hoping instead for Richard Gere. (TXF: "Hollywood A.D.")
