Gray-Haired Man

The Gray-Haired Man (played by Morris Panych) was an agent of the Syndicate sent to disrupt an operation run by clones involving human ova at the Lombard Research Facility. While trying to learn more about Scully's cancer, Mulder and the Lone Gunmen broke into the facility and discovered Kurt Crawford clones developing hybrids, a scene which Mulder had seen nearly two years prior. The Gray-Haired Man had killed one of the clones using a gimlet weapon and likely intended to kill the others as well. He chased down Mulder and nearly shot him through bulletproof glass, emptying several clips by shooting the same place repeatedly, but Mulder escaped.

The Gray-Haired Man's use of a gimlet weapon may imply that he was actually an alien bounty hunter.
