Iraq is a Middle Eastern country and a member of the United Nations.

Iraq is located on most of what was once Mesopotamia.

20th centuryEdit

The United States of America and the United Kingdom went to war with Iraq in 1990 when it invaded and briefly annexed neighboring Kuwait. This conflict was known as the Persian Gulf War (or simply "Gulf War" for short). There's a strong possibility the Iraqis used the black oil from Tunguska as a biological weapon against US-led forces during the 1991 Gulf War.

In 1994, an Iraqi Air Force fighter jet shot down a UFO of alien origin. A special division of the US military was sent into Iraq to retrieve the wreckage and E.B.E. occupant. (TXF: "E.B.E.")

Saddam Hussein was the leader of Iraq in 1998, having taken over the country in the late 1970s. He was a brutal and oppressive dictator. (TXF: "Dreamland II")

21st centuryEdit

During the 2000s and early 2010s, the U.S. and its allies fought a war in Iraq, initially against Saddam Hussein's regime and later against a terrorist insurgency. The conflict became known as the Iraq War. (TXF: "Babylon")
