John Fitzgerald Kennedy, known as JFK, (Born May 29, 1917) was the 35th President of the United States of America. He served from

1961 until his assassination in 1963. (TXF: "Lazarus")

Kennedy famously stated in German "Ich bin ein Berliner," which Fox

Mulder would jokingly translate as "I am a cocktail sausage." (TXF: "Schizogeny")

In 1962, Fox Mulder's first word was "JFK." (TXF: "Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man")

Kennedy was rumored to have slept with Marilyn Monroe. (TXF: "Hollywood A.D.")

President Kennedy was assassinated in a motorcade going down Elm Street in the city of Dallas on November 22, 1963. The world mourned and Lee Harvey Oswald was charged with the crime but was shot and killed before a trial could take place. Oswald denied killing anyone claiming he was a patsy but it was concluded that Oswald was guilty and acted alone in the President's murder. (TXF: "Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man") Kennedy autopsy was done at the Bethesda Naval Hospital. While in the autopsy room, Peter Watts stated that "Everyone's trust died in this room." (MM: "Owls")

Bertram Roosevelt Byers was a huge fan of JFK, naming his son John Fitzgerald Byers (born November 22, 1963) after him. He told his son stories of JFK and Camelot and good government, to instill with him good American values. (TLG: "Pilot").

It has been suggested in the episode "Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man",that he was assassinated by the Cigarette Smoking Man under the commands of a US general and that it was the Smoking Man who framed Oswald.Despite the fact that this episode is not considered canon,in the opening scene of the eleventh-season premiere "My Struggle III" it's revealed that it was the Smoking Man who killed him or at least was the mastermind behind his demise
