While Frank investigates reports of child abuse at a small day care center, he meets Lara Means, another member of the Millennium Group who also sees visions related to evil. She helps Frank to investigate the case and tries to prove his innocence after he is convicted of assaulting a young girl.

- This episode may have been inspired by a number of high profile cases during the 1980's and 1990's that concerned allegations of child abuse of various sorts taking place in day care centers, the most prominent of which being the McMartin Preschool Case.
- Actor Chris Owens, who portrays a police officer in this episode, has also played several roles on the X Files, including Jeffery Spender and a younger Cigarette Smoking Man
- Frank's computer display reads: "Welcome Frank. There are 805 days remaining."
