Dr. James Parenti was a gynecologist and creator of the Parenti Group. He was also part of the conspiracy to create alien fetuses at Zeus Genetics. (TXF: "Per Manum") He was killed by Billy Miles in and was later found by Mulder and Dogget. (TXF: "Essence")
Parenti was Dana Scully's gynecologist during her first two trimesters. (TXF: "Essence") Parenti was asked by Skully to look at a sample of her ova that she had recently found out about. He told her the ova could be made viable with a certain operation and asked if she had a male donor in mind. She then had Fox Mulder give that sample, but, after the operation, he ultimately told her the operation did not work. (TXF: "Per Manum")
Later the next year, Scully had him look at an ultrasound, and Parenti told her it looked fine to him. He assured her it was normal to be worried. (TXF: "Per Manum")
Dr. Parenti was contributing towards experiments to create babies that seemed alien but were actually other clone hybrids; the experiments were part of an effort to ensure humanity's survival of imminent alien colonization and had originally been initiated under orders from the Syndicate, a group that had been destroyed by the aliens in 1999.
