Patrolman
From X-Files Wiki
A patrolman is a man who patrols an assigned area.
Several patrolmen assigned to Raymon County Sheriff's department visited Rural Highway 133 in Bellefleur, Oregon, immediately after Peggy O'Dell died there in March 1992. One of these patrolmen questioned the Truck Driver who had knocked Peggy O'Dell over and was standing with him when a stranger arrived. The patrolman asked the stranger who he was but was ignored while the Truck Driver recounted that Peggy O'Dell had ran right in front of his vehicle, a statement that surprised the newcomer.
- This patrolman was played by Doug Abrams and was credited as "Patrolman #1" in episode credits.
At least one other patrolman was at a nearby motel when Special Agent Fox Mulder, the same man who the first patrolman had encountered, returned there with his FBI partner, Special Agent Dana Scully, to find the motel on fire. This patrolman inspected Mulder's badge as the FBI agents arrived outside the motel. (TXF: "Pilot")
In 1994, another patrolman encountered Duane Barry on Route 229 in Rixeyville, Virginia, shortly after 11:23 a.m. and asked Barry to turn off his car radio. After Barry reluctantly complied with the patrolman's request and made it clear that he was desperate to keep traveling, the patrolman was alarmed to see that Barry had bloody cuts on his knuckles and was wearing a hospital I.D. bracelet. The patrolman tried to arrest Barry, who pleaded to be allowed to continue his journey and had, unbeknown to the patrolman, locked Agent Scully in the boot of his own car. As soon as her struggling began to distract the patrolman, he was shot to death by Duane Barry. (TXF: "Ascension")
- This patrolman was played by Steve Makaj and was simply referred to as "Patrolman" in episode credits.
