Rebecca Waite (played by O-Lan Jones) was a nurse in Chicago who was also an active practitioner of wicca. She was well aware that Jack Franklyn was a malicious user of witchcraft and attempted to protect his victims. However, she was unsuccessful in preventing the deaths of three patients so she attempted to kill Franklyn herself. When he returned to his home, she lunged out of his blood-filled bathtub and tried to stab him with a dagger. However, he fended her off and magically filled her innards with nails. Agents Mulder and Scully arrived on the scene to "rescue" Franklyn, and watched in horror as Waite coughed up the bloody nails. She was then taken to an emergency room and died soon after.
