Richard Belzer (born August 4, 1944) is an American actor, comedian and author.
He played Detective John Munch in TXF: "Unusual Suspects" in a crossover with Homicide: Life on the Street.
He has played Munch on eight other series: Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Beat, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, Arrested Development, The Wire, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and 30 Rock. Consequently, he is the only actor in television history to play the same character in ten different series.
