Sacks

Dr. Sacks (played by Malcolm Stewart) was a scientist at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He investigated a rock brought to him by Agent Scully that she and Mulder obtained from a fleeing envoy in Dulles International Airport. The rock came from Tunguska, Russia and contained the black oil. While attempting to take a core sample, Sacks was splattered with the oil and was infected. His state of stasis was investigated by Scully and Agent Pendrell, both of whom were unable to determine the nature of his affliction. Sacks most likely died soon after.
