A seizure is a physical experience characterized by extreme shaking. (TXF: "Deep Throat") A severe seizure may result in an aneurysm. (TXF: "Space") Severe seizures are commonly experienced by victims of Creutzfeld-Jakob disease. (TXF: "Our Town")

During the disappearance of Colonel Robert Budahas, his grief-shaken wife told FBI Special Agents Mulder and Scully that, before his disappearance, her husband had exhibited bizarre behavior that included yelling at their children (Josh and Lesley) before shaking as if he was experiencing a seizure. (TXF: "Deep Throat")
