Supervisory Special Agent
From X-Files Wiki
Supervisory Special Agent was a rank within the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
In 1993, Marty Neil was promoted to the rank of Supervisory Special Agent and was recruited into Foreign Counter Intelligence at the New York City Bureau, after he had a successful hunch regarding the World Trade Center bombing. (TXF: "Squeeze")
- Notably, this rank is unusually exclusive to the unseen character of Marty Neil, as no other members of the FBI are established as holding the rank and it is only referenced in a single episode. In reality, this rank is different from that of Special Agent in Charge but the two ranks may be equivalent in the reality of The X-Files, as there is no evidence to support or disprove this theory.
