These are mentions of "the President," and of what president it most likely was.

• TXF:
  • "Colony" (Bill Clinton, as it is between Clinton's presidency in "Space" and "Salvage")
  • "731" (Bill Clinton, same reasons as Colony)
  • "The Field Where I Died" (Mulder was talking about Clinton, Melissa was talking about Truman)
  • "Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man" (first John F. Kennedy, per onscreen and audio evidence, then Lyndon B. Johnson, per real-life info)
  • "Travelers" (most likely Truman, given his presidency in 1947 and real-life info)
  • The X-Files Movie (Kurtzweil was vague enough to mention any future president, but may have been referencing Bill Clinton)
  • "Drive" (Clinton, via videotape appearance)
  • "Three of a Kind" (JFK, big time)
  • "Requiem" (Skinner was being vague, but it could have been to Bill Clinton)
  • "Three Words" (George W. Bush, as it is between Like Water for Octane and The Truth.
  • "The Truth" (Cigarette Smoking Man references every president since Truman, which on the show includes Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush, and realistically also includes Lyndon Johnson, Gerald Ford, and Jimmy Carter.

  • "Sense and Anti-Sense" (most likely Bill Clinton)
  • "Matryoshka" (Harry Truman, said so in episode)

• TLG:
  • "Planet of the Frohikes" (hypothetically speaking of maybe President Clinton still or Bush)
  • "Like Water for Octane" (Jimmy is under the impression that Winston Churchill was a US President)
