Vietnam War

The Vietnam War was a conflict in Vietnam from the late 1950s until 1975 where the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea attempted to stop the spread of communism into southeast Asia.
The war was considered to be a offshoot conflict of the Cold War. (TXF: "Redux")
To honor those who fell in the war, the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial was erected in Washington, D.C. (TXF: "Never Again", "Unrequited")
Several Americans who did not want to be sent to Vietnam to fight in the war fled to Canada. (TXF: "Darkness Falls")
