In 1994, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully met covertly in the car park of the Watergate Hotel & Office Complex. Upon arriving at the complex, Mulder noted to Scully that $4 per hour for car-parking was "criminal". (TXF: "Little Green Men")
- The location was probably chosen by Mulder for his interest in conspiracies and his previous relationship with Deep Throat, an informant of Mulder's who shared his name with the whistle-blower in the Watergate Scandal. However, the connection between the Watergate Scandal and the Watergate Hotel & Office Complex is only hinted at in the episode and the historical Deep Throat is never referenced in any episode of The X-Files.
